The collection consists of six letters: to P.S. King, 30 Dec. 1878, with lots of news, including information about copies of a pamphlet taken by Madame de H.; four letters to Lady Aberdeen, including 5 July 1888, with a list of names it would be useful to invite; 22 Dec. 1889, describing the Universal Information Agency; 15 Nov. 1902, asking her to proof a letter concerning the position of women in England; 20 May 1903, asking if she would be able to open a sale of the Tooting Home branch; also, letter to Lord Aberdeen, 10 Dec. 1910, thanking him for remembering Stead's Maiden Tribute. Also includes bound together seven issues (13 July-25 August 1885) and one tear sheet of pages 11-12 (9 Nov. 1885) of the Pall Mall Gazette; The Maiden tribute of modern Babylon (report of the Pall Mall Gazette's secret commission), 10 July 1885; England's shame, The Christian "Extra," 9 July [1885]; and The Armstrong case; Mr. Stead's defense in full, 1885--all concerning Stead's case and defense against child prostitution.
